Emma Thompson Says There Won't Be a 'Nanny McPhee 3'

Nanny McPhee was set to be a franchise for Emma Thompson, starring as the magical governess who teaches kids to behave. Based on the Christianna Brand books, 2005’s Nanny McPhee led to a 2010 sequel, Nanny McPhee Returns so there are many fans of the nanny. Unfortunately, those fans will not be getting a trilogy, and Thompson was sorry to break it to us. She recalled a phone call with the studio the weekend Returns opened in the U.S.
